Glan Llyn (which translated means ‘the bank of a lake’) is a new, mixed-use community in development in South Wales. Zest were involved from the very early stages of the project having been selected to create the all-encompassing master brand and underlying sub-brands for the scheme. The butterfly taking flight icon which forms the basis of the brand reinforces the accompanying ‘Newport. New Beginnings’ strapline.
We worked carefully within the St. Modwen brand guidelines to roll out the sub-brands and colour code the different sectors including retail, new homes, business, public services, environment and leisure. These colours work alongside specially chosen ‘people-led’ photography to build up a strong look and feel which helps to capture the vibrancy and excitement of Glan Llyn. For the most part the marketing material had to be bilingual (English and Welsh) so the signage in particular had to be very carefully considered throughout the design process.
Working with Standard Life Investments, we created brochures and signage for both the ‘Grade A’ commercial and the flexible retail space. We designed a strong corporate brand featuring a large number five which was applied to both brochures and colour coded accordingly. We...View Showcase
